Oh broccoli! It’s truly a staple in my kitchen. I can never go wrong making broccoli to help complete my meals. Roasted broccoli is really the most basic recipe so I decided to take it a step further with this Roasted Parmesan Broccoli.

What You’ll Need:

Broccoli:

Olive oil

Lemon juice

Garlic

Grated parmesan

Panko bread crumbs

Salt & pepper

How to make Roasted Parmesan Broccoli

Prep: Pre heat oven to 425 degrees F. Start by prepping broccoli. If buying whole broccoli crowns then cut into small bite sized pieces. Transfer broccoli to a large bowl of plastic bag.

Coat: Use the olive oil and lemon juice and pour onto broccoli. Toss broccoli in a large bowl or close the plastic bag and shake to evenly combined olive oil and lemon juice.

Season: To season broccoli it’s best to keep it simple and season with the basics. Take the remaining ingredients like garlic, grated parmesan, and panko breadcrumbs to the bowl of plastic bag

Mix: Continue mixing broccoli and ingredients until well combined. Transfer to large baking sheet/pan. Use a spoon to scoop any additional parmesan and panko on top of broccoli.

Helpful Tips:

Roasted broccoli does not need much to be delicious! What makes this recipe is the panko and parmesan flakes on the broccoli. The easiest way to get perfectly crusted broccoli is to coat the broccoli with olive oil first. This way when you add panko and parmesan it will stick.

When tossing ingredients expect bread crumbs and grated parmesan will drop to the bottom. When transferring broccoli to pan use a spoon to scoop and add on top of broccoli.
