Cool and refreshing Strawberry Mango Smoothie made with delicious mangos, strawberries and hidden veggies.
tips for the best smoothie
A good smoothie starts with a good blender. One that can process frozen fruits easily. We’ve all been there before. You load the blender up and turn it on just to realize the blender isn’t powerful enough. You spend way too much time pausing, moving everything around, adding liquid in hopes it would come together and mix. Good blenders are often more expensive but worth it in the long run and can last a long time as long as you take care of them.
For a thick smoothie
Using frozen fruit make the best smoothie thick. Frozen fruit also lasts longer and makes it easy to whip up a batch at any time. If frozen fruit is not an option and all you have is fresh fruit then add ice to make a thick smoothie.
For a creamy smoothie
Add avocado or banana to make a creamy smoothie. Avocado is full of healthy fats that will totally elevated your smoothie game. Bananas are great for creaminess but also can cut out tartness.
For a sweeter smoothie
Add natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup. Other wonderful natural sweeteners include dates or agave.
For a more filling smoothie
To bulk up a smoothie add fiber like oats, and seeds. Rolled oats, chia seeds or flax seeds are great additions.
