Tips For The Best Brioche French Toast
Why Brioche? It’s a sweet and thick bread that holds up well when marinading in a milk mixture. I love to grab a fresh loaf from my local grocery store. You can find cut slices of brioche bread at Trader Joe’s (another favorite).
Use stale bread. One of the few times is totally fine to not through that stale loaf away. Leave out in the open for a day or so before cooking. Stale bread holds up well when using egg and milk and helps prevents french toast from becoming too soggy when done.
Work in batches: This recipe makes 8 slices of French toast. Unless using a large griddle on the stovetop it will be impossible to fit all 8 slices into one pan. Instead, marinate and or cook the brioche bread in batches (however many can fit in a single layer in your pan/skillet)
Toppings
Fresh Berries: Strawberries and blueberries or any other kind
