Perfect Apple Crisp For Two

Fall isn’t complete without apples and this dish makes the best fall dessert. You only need a handful of ingredients to whip this up and enjoy. Make this with the skin of the apple to provide more texture and fiber. If the skin isn’t your thing you can peel the apple before chopping for a soter texture.

Best Apples To Use

For this recipe, I used Honey Crisp apples which is always a good choice! Any apple variety will make a great dessert but to name a specific alternative you can use Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Golden Delicious, or Jonagold.

Ramekins– bake this apple crisp in the air fryer with a ramekin and make mini individualized apple crisps

Melon baller- to remove seeds in the core of the apple

Small and large bowl- Use a small bowl to mix crisp topping and a large bowl to mix apple filling

Air Fryer– If you use a smaller size air fryer you may need to cook each apple crisp individually if both ramekins do not comfortably fit in the air fryer basket.

How To Make an Air Fryer Apple Crisp

Grease both ramekins with ½ tablespoon butter. In a large bowl mix together apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Divide the mixture evenly into two and transfer to the greased ramekins.

In a medium-sized bowl add old fashion oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Fold in butter with a fork to form large crumbles. Do not overmix. Add topping over diced apples in the ramekins. Cook in air fyer at 360degrees for 10-12 minutes or until top begins to brown.
