The thickest smoothie ever, YAASS!
When life gives you mangoes make smoothies! This weekend was more than lovely in the DC area with temps in the 70’s. Why not make a smoothie and pretend its summer, no?
Can you tell I’m ready for summer? This Citrus Mango Smoothie is a quick and easy drink to whip up on nice warm day. Its packed with all natural ingredients, bananas, mangoes, orange juice with a hint of antioxidants from ginger. Once I made nice-cream for the first time I never went back. Pretty sure it was the thickness from the bananas that just takes smoothies to a whole new level.
Speaking of bananas..well, I had this blender. It was all good until I used frozen bananas. It couldn’t stand a chance. After many failed attempts to make smoothies I had to cut it. So I upgraded to a Ninja that serves as blender and food processor and I couldn’t be more happier.
Literally in 5 minutes you dream about summer too. Drink up!
- 1 full banana frozen and cut into chunks
- 1 cup frozen mango
- ¼ cup orange juice
- Juice from ½ of a lemon
- ½ teaspoon ginger root
- Add all ingredients to blender. Make sure it can handle blending the frozen ingredients.
- Blend for 3 minutes or until smooth.
