Homemade Chocolate Granola
Rich and chocolatey Homemade Chocolate Granola is a great addition to yogurt or with milk as a breakfast cereal.
- ½ cup coconut oil melted
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- ¾ cup chocolate chunks
Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl stir together melted coconut oil, maple syrup, cocoa, and vanilla extract. Fold in rolled oats, almonds, and chocolate chunks.
Transfer the mixture onto a baking sheet in an even layer. Bake in the oven for 17-20 minutes (string to re-arrange granola halfway through cooking time).
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Break apart granola into small chunks and serve.
