Common Questions?

Is there a substitute for buttermilk? Absolutely, you can replace buttermilk with 1 and ¾ cup of another milk + white vinegar.

How to get fluffy waffles? To get delicious fluffy waffles the first tip is to not overmix waffle batter. When whisking the batter, stir until just combined (no flour spots). If you see lumps in the batter it’s perfectly fine. The next tip is to let the waffle batter sit for about 5 minutes so it can thicken.

Can I freeze waffles? One thing to love about waffles is that they can be made in large batches and frozen to enjoy at a later date. When you have all your waffles made batch freeze them. Lay waffles on a flat baking sheet pan in a single layer. You may need to use multiple baking sheet pans or freeze them in multiple batches to do this. Once waffles are frozen transfer them to a zip lock bag. Remove the air and return to them to the freezer.

How many waffles does the Dash Heart Mini Waffle Maker make? This recipe should make roughly 27 mini waffles.

Is the Dash Heart Mini Waffle Maker worth buying? Here’s an honest review.

This waffle maker is really affordable. At the time of writing this post, the cost is under $10. After researching for heart shaped waffle makers this is simply one of the best. Other waffle makers create heart waffles that connect in a circle to form a flower like shape. You’d have to separate the sections after cooking to get a true heart shaped waffle. This can certainly work if you are determined to have heart shaped waffles but was not something considered desirable.

There are several recipes listed in the instruction manual that are really helpful. Using this waffle maker will allow you to do all kinds of creative foods. Although this is perfect for Valentine’s Day you can easily use this any time of year.

The only downside I would mention is due to the size. Because it’s so small it takes more time to complete. Each waffle actually takes less than a minute but in total roughly 27 mini waffles are made. If not paying attention you can easily put too much batter but waffles will still taste good.

Overall, the price and the possibilities of things to cook make this waffle maker worth it and can be used to create fun meals. You can create great memories with others cooking together to make these heart shaped waffles.
