Then like a kid I rush to Instagram and scroll in awe of the beautiful creations under different hashtags. Something about blood oranges (and not to mention satsuma, especially with the leaves) really inspires me. I’m talking ultimate food inspo.
That’s why I had to finally bring a blood orange recipe to the blog. We’re in season for winter citrus and I needed to do something with additional produce I had at my house. Salads are just one of the several ways you can enjoy blood oranges. Here are a few more:

How to make Blood Orange Salad and Vinaigrette
In a medium sized bowl add juice from blood oranges, olive oil, dijon mustard, red wine vinaigrette, garlic, salt and pepper. Whisk/stir until well combined (for about 1 minute).
Build salad by place 1 bunch of greens in each bowl. Add sliced blood oranges, walnuts, , and mustard greens.

- ¾ cup juice from blood oranges
- ½ cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- red wine vinairgrette
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- salt/pepper

- 2 bunches mixed greens
- 2 blood oranges, sliced
- ½ cup walnuts
- ⅓ cup feta cheese crumbes
