

Lavender Waffles
Ingredients
Lavender Simple Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoon dried lavender

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1½ cups milk
- ¼ cup lavender simple syrup
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for an hour. Pour syrup through a fine-mesh strainer to remove lavender blossoms. Allow to cool,
Lavender Waffles

Add all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl. In a separate bowl add eggs, milk, lavender simple syrup, and melted butter and mix. Pour wet ingredients into a bowl of dry ingredients (flour mixture)

Stir until just combined (lumps are ok), Sprinkle additional lavender buds, and lightly mix (optional). Allow batter to rest for 5 minutes.

Heat a waffle griddle. Cook waffles according to waffle maker instructions.
