Suns out, grills out!
Finally the nice weather is here so we have to keep up the vibe. I think I’ve found the most easiest grilled recipe that will have you dreaming about salads. Yes, it’s Grilled Romaine with Creamy Ranch.
I used to think lettuce was too soft to grill at home but I was wrong. It’s the quickest way to turn a salad into fancy looking dish in under 15 minutes. What I love about this Grilled Romaine with Creamy Ranch salad is that it’s a great home made appetizer or side dish. All you need is 5 ingredients.
romaine lettuce
olive oil
salt
pepper
creamy ranch dressing

If you want more, I’ve included some additional toppings that will go great with this salad.
Parmesan Cheese: Parmesan cheese is perfect addition to a crunchy salad and ranch dressing. Shredded Parmesan cheese should work best.
Lemon: a squeeze of fresh lemon juice on top will give this salad a whole new meaning. If you want, you can grill the lemons as well.
Diced Cherry Tomatoes: Give some extra color to this salad by added diced cherry tomatoes
Trust me, I don’t have much experience on the grill. This is something I plan on changing in the near future. I thought the first time I’d grill this year should be something fun and this grilled romaine was right up my alley. All that goes to say… if I can do this, so can you.
But what if you don’t have a grill at home?
… a grill pan works just as well. This way still gives you those perfectly lined char marks that’s perf for your food photos if love to snap photos before each meal like me. I’m sure your feed would love to see this (make sure to tag @mashandspread if you do).
