Fresh strawberries with savory avocado topped on a bed of spinach with a tasty poppy seed dressing perfect for a light but filling meal.
It doesn’t take much to make me happy. A bowl of strawberries is the quickest way to my heart so image a big strawberry salad with a drizzle of poppy seed dressing, absolutely perfect!
Can you tell, spring is here and warmer weather is coming? When I break out this salad just know that strawberry season. I usually can pick up a variation of this salad at most restaurants this time of year but wanted to make my own delicious version at home. This Strawberry Avocado Spinach salad did not disappoint.
Made with a Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing
This salad would be nothing without a classic poppy seed dressing. What I love about this dressing is that it’s so light (which is perfect for the warmer weather ahead) and the perfect combination of sweet and tangy.
I remember when I fell in love with poppy seed dressing. Back in college I lived next door to a buffet style cafeteria on campus (it was magical) and the salad bar always had it. Best believe every plate included a salad or something I could dip poppy seed dressing. I’ve been hooked ever since. Drew’s Organics makes the same delicious dressing I have always loved.
As usual simple is better. This Strawberry Avocado Spinach Salad is only made with 7 ingredients and is every bit of good.

How to Make Strawberry Avocado Spinach Salad
Begin by preparing the strawberries first. Hull the strawberries (cutting off the ends with a knife will do) and cut in half strawberries are large.
In a large bowl add strawberries, cut avocados, pecans, onions, feta cheese. Drizzle Drew’s Organics Poppy Seed Dressing when ready to eat. Store leftover salad in an air tight container. Fresh greens should keep in fridge for about 3 days.
