French Toast Waffles

These French Toast Waffles are the best of both worlds. Thick slices of challah bread in an egg custard mixture with a sweet cinnamon coating.

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 slices challah bread
Instructions
  1. Turn on a waffle maker to heat. In a medium bowl add eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Whisk until completely combined.

  2. Dip a slice of challah bread on both sides for about 5 seconds each.

  3. Place the slice of challah bread on a heated waffle maker. Cook according to waffle maker instructions.

  4. Repeat by taking another slice of bread and dipping in the egg custard mixture and cooking on a waffle maker until all slices are used.

  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and add slices of banana. Serve immediately. Enjoy with syrup.
