These Red Velvet Waffles are the perfect Valentine's Day breakfast. Enjoy these on a romantic day or any other day if you enjoy the richness of red velvet. Deliciously light and tasty with that vibrant red color these waffles are good way to start the day

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 fl oz red liquid food coloring
Instructions
  1. Use a large bowl and whisk together, flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Use another large bowl and add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, butter, white vinegar, and red food coloring.

  2. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Whisk together until just combined. Small lumps are ok. Do not overmix.

  3. Pre heat waffle iron. Lightly spray waffle iron with cooking spray. Cook waffle according to waffle maker instructions.
