Homemade Waffles

These delicious Homemade Waffles are light and fluffy and are the perfect go-to waffle recipe.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • 2 eggs separated
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Whisk dry ingredients in a large bowl (flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt). In another bowl add wet ingredients (milk, egg yolk, melted butter). Leave out the egg whites

  2. In a separate bowl add egg whites and beat using a mixer until stiff peaks form.

  3. Pour wet ingredients into a bowl of dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  4. Stir in ⅓ cup of stiff peak whipped egg whites to the waffle mix. Gently fold in the remaining egg whites and fold. Let waffle mix sit for a few minutes.

  5. Heat waffle maker and cook waffles according to instructions.
