Saturdays are my designated get stuff done day. Pick up this. Drop off that. Work for a few hours. It’s nothing but running errands most times. To cut back on eating out I like to take something small with me that I can at least snack on until I eat a full meal. These 5 Ingredient On The Go Energy Bites require at the least 5 minutes of your time. So issa win!
Its so simple. Just combine all the ingredients in the bowl and mix together. I like to refrigerate the mix for 10 or so minutes before shaping them with my hands (completely optional). It helps to wipe/wash your hands after making a couple because they will not form into a ball of your hands are too sticky.
These 5 ingredient energy bites can be customized with numerous things- almonds, chia seeds, dried fruit, etc. What would you add to your energy bites for more flavor?
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes
- 1/4 cup honey
- Mix all ingredients in one bowl
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes (optional)
- Form into small round balls with your hands
- Store in zip lock bag or air tight container to save
